Description
Lake Louise is a stunning lake in the Canadian Rockies, fed by glacial water. The rock particles in the water reflect only the blue-green wavelengths of the light, absorbing all others. This is what gives the waters in this area their glorious turquoise sheen. I did a quick sketch of the scene when we visited, but later redid the picture in the studio, using photos we had taken as reference.
The actual painting measures 59.5cm by 42cm and the framed size is 71cm by 54cm.
The frame style is medium coloured wood with a carved band and a gold lip close to the painting.
The price is £700, plus packing and delivery.
