Description
This painting shows a lovely view from the north bank of the river Severn, looking across to the remains of St Mary’s church. I stood for several hours in 2010 under the branches of the magnificent cherry tree, painting the scene.
The painting is oil paint on canvas, measuring 25cm by 35 cm. The frame is moulded medium wood style.
Painting tip: “If you see a lovely scene get out and paint it, and/or take several photos of it straight away. Scenes change even over the course of an hour or so. Blossom that is perfect today, may be battered by the wind and disappear by tomorrow.” Sue Newham
